Phase 1project
Škoda Auto itself characterises their new Škoda Kodiaq as “a car with the strength of a bear and a confident design”. Our industrial paint shop HAJDIK has contributed to this unique design as well. We have been nominated to paint the interior parts (the frame around the gear stick).
Phase 2design
The centre console of an automobile has to be not only resistant, but also have constant and elegant appearance at the same time. That is why we proposed using modern UV High-Gloss technology. The process involves the use of highly intensive ultraviolet light to dry the paint instantly.
Phase 3implementation
Why did we chose UV High-Gloss technology? This robotic painting method ensures excellent scratch resistance high-gloss, and smoother surface. Another advantage is UV-resistance, and good adhesion to various types of surfaces. At the same time, it is environmentally friendly due to producing extremely low emissions. It was therefore evident that UV High-Gloss was the right technology for this project.
Phase 4realisation
A total of 80,000 units of this part are expected annually. This part is also what is known as a COP, meaning it can be used for other platforms, such as in Škoda's new model Karoq. We believe that our product will help achieve a comfortable ride in these vehicles. We are also delighted that our work has contributed to the superior design of the Škoda Kodiaq, which is headed to compete for European Car of 2017.
