Phase 1The Assignment
We received an enquiry for a demanding painting project for Porsche. It concerned exterior parts for the front-end part of the car, which means extremely visible parts. The complexity of the project lies in particular in the diversity of the parts and the three different painting systems involved, from high gloss to deep matte.
Phase 2Project Design
As early as in the project assignment phase, we realised that the project would be challenging. The combination of different coatings, different substrates and special pre-treatment requires very careful preparation and scheduling. Considering the fact that the Porsche Cayenne is the brand flagship, it is clear that quality is what matters most.
Phase 3Implementation
The whole project was divided into 3 parts based on the optional equipment of individual vehicles. This was not only closely related to colour variants, but also to the planning that must have been taken into account, in relation with the introduction of the individual vehicle options to the market. After numerous tests of various combinations of pre-treatments, paints and working procedures, we achieved the optimal quality level needed for the finished product.
